Just in case anyone doesn't know, you are in the salt room for about an hour. It was a very cool experience!!!! Bob was great! I just tried the halotherapy today. The room is literally covered in salt, from the walls to the ceiling. The ground has course Himalayan salt covering the whole floor, similar to gravel. I went in barefoot and the salt was not sharp or uncomfortable when walking through. The zero gravity chairs are very comfortable and all have pillows. There's a box with extra blankets in case anyone gets cold. Bob stated that the temperature was about 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
After first walking in, there was some soothing music playing. The ceiling had some hollows to simulate stars in the nighttime sky. It was like we were literally in a cave in the middle of the night, yet it was only 4pm!
It was just myself, a mother and her son during our session. After picking a chair and reclining all the way back. I began to close my eyes, not really sure what to expect. I actually started feeling some vibrations within my head and some flashes of different colored lights while my eyes were closed. My breathing started to slow down, my breaths started getting deeper while I slowly became more relaxed. This was probably within the first 5-10 minutes of being in there.
The next thing I remember was waking up and opening my eyes, feeling extremely relaxed. Probably another few minutes go by and the music stops and there is a prerecorded message saying that the session was over! I must have fallen asleep for the next 50 minutes because I literally have no memory of what happened! I felt energized and relaxed at the same time though! It was definitely a great experience and I will be going back!

Since returning from a winter in Florida and trying a salt room there, I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the first tri-city area
Salt Den. It did not disappoint and is a truly great experience. I met several people in Florida who had very serious lung issues and were now dedicated clients. I find it really helps my sinuses and allergies and it is so relaxing that the 45 minute visit goes quickly. They also have different discount prices and packages that make it very affordable. The salt rooms are typically 3 times more sterile than an operating room.
The staff is great and the new facility easy to find and very attractive. I may try some of the other services they offer soon. It is
so good to find a company that focuses on wholistic health and complementary services to our medical treatments. Give it a try - do
several sessions to see the beneficial effects.

Mom's Testimonial

HALOTHERAPY - the best thing since "sliced bread". Look it up on google - guess what - "Salt Therapy" comes up.
Several years ago we were introduced to the benefits of this easy to take therapy.

The YMCA we use has free magazines on health care; an ad and article on a thing called " The Salt Room", this caught my eye because my husband is a long time astmatic and has COPD. With our new life style we are in Spring twice a year (other words known as Snow Birds).

The article on Halotherapy made sense to me - stating that being in the air of the ocean you always felt better. That first 45 minute session made him feel so much better that he still uses it 5 years later.

During this time I have seen many children come in and take advantage of the the healing process along with people with skin conditions and even some can take their O2 masks off and just sit and relax in the treatment room, listen to music, read or just take a relaxing nap.

Don't cheat your self - treat yourself today.

This testimony is from my parents and the reason why I am bringing Halotherapy to Albany.
